Getting a toddler to look up for the photograph

Description
An unidentified African American woman crouches down to be on the same level as a toddler in the front yard of a house in a residential area. She holds an object, likely a rattle, up in the air to get the toddler to look up. There is a picket fence behind them and a car parked on the street. The steps to the homes across the street are visible across the top of the photograph.
