Description
Patients (all white) on the balcony of ward 2 East at Children's Mercy Hospital. All the young girls are in beds or playing on the floor. Some are riding tricycles and are smiling. Three white female nurses are observing or interacting with the girls.

No date; likely between 1921 and 1930, Stamp on back of photo indicates it was printed in the Kansas City Journal-Post in the 1930s. Gelatin silver print.
